Homebound Delivery Program Volunteers

The Beloit Public Library Homebound Delivery Program is an outreach service that provides regular home delivery of library materials to customers in Beloit who are unable to visit the library due to age or disability. Volunteers are needed to select materials or to deliver and pick up library materials from these customers. For more information on volunteering for this program, please contact the Homebound Delivery Coordinator, Vicki Hahn at (608) 364-5756 or (608) 364-2905.

Adopt-A-Shelf Volunteers

Volunteers in the Adopt-A-Shelf program help the library keep materials in order on the shelves. For more information on volunteering for this program, please contact Vicki Hahn at (608) 364-5756 or (608) 364-2905.

 Bag of Books Delivery Volunteer

The Bag of Books program provides a small collection of books to local medical facilities. These collections provide entertainment for children and their parents, while encouraging reading, reading together and literacy. Collections are changed at the end of each month.

Volunteers are needed to deliver and pick up library materials from sites. For more information on volunteering for this program, please contact Robin Hoefer, Youth Services- Outreach, at 364-2915.

Youth Services Outreach Volunteer

Outreach in Youth Services at the Beloit Public Library includes promotional booths at schools and community events. Opportunities come sporadically and by request/invitation. Activities may include promoting events and services of the library, handing out give-aways, tattooing and/or stickers, crafts and book displays.

Volunteers for these events are people who enjoy meeting and working with children of all ages. For more information on volunteering, please contact Robin Hoefer, Youth Services-Outreach, at 364-2915.

Youth Services Book Buddies

The Beloit Public Library relies on the Book Buddy program volunteers to help us with our Summer Library Club events. Book Buddies are volunteers ages 14 to 18 who help with crowd-control, getting projects ready for Arts and Crafts and other tasks.

Volunteers for this program would need to be available to volunteer on various days and times between June 8th and August 14th, 2013.
