Friends At Beloit Library (FABL)
FABL was established in 1978 to provide financial assistance to the Beloit Public Library to meet community needs and provide a way for the public to participate in supporting library services. FABL raises funds through its membership program and the sale of discarded library books and books donated by the public. This financial support enables library staff to initiate programs that would not be eligible for public funding.
You are invited to become a member at $15 Individual; $25 Family; $125 Lifetime Individual; $150 Lifetime Couple. Make checks payable to Friends at Beloit Library with your name, address and phone number and send to Beloit Public Library, 605 Eclipse Boulevard, Beloit, WI 53511.
Members receive a newsletter twice a year and are invited to a spring annual meeting with a speaker and refreshments. Contact FABL at: email@example.com if you want to receive notices and the newsletter via email. Additional member benefits are described in our brochure available on top of the permanent book shelves. Members and the general public may also volunteer to sort and shelve the donated books in the permanent book shelves across from the check-out desk.
In addition to the continuous book sale, FABL has occasional special book sales open to the public.
Also, the public is urged to donate books at any time at the check-out desk. We accept all but Reader’s Digest books, encyclopedias or magazines.
